Three men died last night after their car went out of control and hit a container truck head on in Tai Po Road. The men were heading for Kowloon and were near Sha Tin Heights about 6.30pm when the vehicle veered into the opposite lane and collided with the truck. The car was crushed against road-side railings. Firemen cut the three unconscious men, aged between 34 and 40, from the wreckage and they were taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where they were certified dead. The truck driver passed a breathalyser test. Speeding has not been ruled out as a cause.
