In what must be a Christmas miracle, Lucy Wastnage and David Tang Wing-cheung are finally tying the knot.
After an eight-year engagement, the couple will marry on December 16 in London. Rumours circulated that the cigar-puffing Shanghai Tang supremo, 48, and his 36-year-old fiancee planned to wed this year on Valentine's Day at the Vatican, so at least the gossips got the year right.
As befits the nuptials of Hong Kong's premier networker, jet-setting guests from across the globe will converge on St Peter's Church at 119 Eaton Square, to be followed by a reception at the famous club Annabel's, for a high-society event. The invitation, curiously, has a picture of a shotgun on it. Is there a special meaning implied by the happy couple. Or is it their idea of a joke? Whatever the case, congratulations, at long last, Tango and Lucy!
