Gilbert Yeung of Dragon-i secured the services of disco diva Jocelyn Brown to celebrate the club's first anniversary over the weekend. The soul sista sang her classics, Somebody Else's Guy, It's Alright and her hit with British band Incognito, Always There. Spinning with her on Saturday night was DJ Spen of the Basement Boys, who has worked with her before. Brown's remarkable voice is on many of the best Disco-era records. Gilbert arranged a pampering session for Brown from accomplished masseur, Tim Tse, during her brief stay (she left yesterday). CitySeen reckons Hong Kong needs as much soul as it can get, and Brown said she'd be keen to come back, so let's keep our fingers crossed. In the meantime, congratulations to the boys at Dragon-i.
