While people need shelter from the winter chill, the elusive Yuen Long crocodile is unlikely to suffer as it continues to avoid capture. An Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department spokeswoman said the crocodile would adapt to the cold weather by being less active. 'It will stay in the water as the river water will be warmer than the winter air,' she said. 'Should it get too cold in the water, the croc will find warmer places to stay. It may even come out for sunbathing when the sun comes out.'
