ATB is the alias of German DJ Andre Tanneberger, better known as the man who scored a huge club hit in 1999 with the infectious 9pm (Till I Come).
As you may know, this track has featured on almost every trance compilation since its release and hence everybody is sick to death of it. Surprise surprise, then, that ATB's new CD In The Mix includes a version of 9pm. Fortunately, it's quite short.
The good thing about this triple CD is that it's got a bit of everything. There is progressive trance, tech-house and club/dance on CDs one and two, plus a superbly produced limited edition chill CD.
It's all addictive stuff and the combinations create a rollercoaster ride of emotion and moods. It's also a lengthy offering. The whole package stretches well over three hours.
ATB's own creation - In Love With The DJ, a hypnotic builder, opens the ensemble. Also featured is Paul Van Dyk's electro thumper Time Of Our Lives, a supercharged remix of Jushi's Requiem, and CD two includes an adrenalin-pumping version of Binary Finary's 1998.
