Stanley Ho Hung-sun will today host the launch of the refitted Omar III in Hong Kong. It will be the second-largest cruise ship based in the city with about 300 rooms and (surprise, surprise) it will allow passengers to gamble whenever it is outside Hong Kong waters.
In a neat piece of cross-marketing, Dr Ho's ship will also host the 17th annual Ten Best Dressed Personalities Award, organised by the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association (no word on whether the losers will be tossed overboard).
Pop star Aaron Kwok Fu-shing will be present, as well as Gigi Leung Wing-kei and Louis Koo Tin-lok. A fashion show of 16 local designers including Lulu Cheung, Walter Ma Wai-ming, Rowena U and Benny Yeung Chung-yuen will feature. Last year's winners include Edison Chen Koon-hei, Metro Radio's Kam Kwok-leung, Mira Yeh and Kim Robinson. Proceeds from a charity auction will be donated to Unicef and the Po Leung Kuk children's hostel.
