Happy couple in a spin

The World Carnival is just the place for stuffed animals, sugary confection and stomach-churning rides. And it's also Romance Central.

Just ask a certain Mr and soon-to-be Mrs Hui. On January 1, Mr Hui decided to propose on the giant Ferris wheel. With the help of the organisers (and, no doubt, to the dismay of fellow passengers), the wheel was halted with the happy couple suspended at 33 metres.

Mr Hui, a dentist, then popped the question to his girlfriend, also a dentist. After 10 supremely mushy minutes, the couple and their fellow passengers were returned to earth.

They were showered with gifts - including a big heart-shaped stuffed toy. All together now: Awwwwww!
