This weekend will give Lord of the Rings fans a chance to watch the entire trilogy in one sitting, an exercise which will take 10 hours and 32 minutes of screen time. Golden Harvest has decided to succumb to demand and will show the extended versions of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, adding an hour and 15 minutes. The screening comes after UA cinemas in Pacific Place offered a special screening of all three films in conjunction with the premiere of The Return of the King last month - but that screening was only open to competition winners. Golden Harvest's event begins at 10.30am on Saturday at the Grand Ocean Theatre in Tsim Sha Tsui, and closes at around midnight - luckily with some rest breaks in between films.
