Five young hippies are on the road, travelling to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. While that could well be considered a crime in some jurisdictions, the group seems to get along without any harassment - until they come across a girl stumbling along the road.
She's a mess and in trying to uncover her tale our kids soon get up close and personal with a cast of characters found only in the deep, deep backwaters of Movietown, USA.
It takes a brave man to sign on for a remake of Tobe Hooper's 1974 shock-horror classic, which shook up the world with its guts and gore. What director Marcus Nispel has done with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - 2003 version - is to up the ante with technology. And although this hi-tech version relies more on the camera-friendly faces of its leads than on the creep-out value of its originator, horror fans will still find plenty to enjoy.
