TWO men appeared in Tuen Mun Court yesterday on charges of conspiring to commit a robbery and possession of arms and ammunition without a licence. One of them is also charged over two robberies which took place last year. Sei Chung-ming, 30, and Fu Chi-ling, 18, are charged with possession of a 7.62 mm calibre semi-automatic pistol without a licence and possession of a magazine with seven rounds of 7.62 mm calibre ammunition without a licence last Saturday at the junctionof Fuk Hong and Fuk Tak streets, Yuen Long. They are also charged with conspiring to commit a robbery some time this month. Sei is further accused of one count of robbery outside Elizabeth House, Gloucester Road, on November 20 last year, when he is alleged, with others, to have stolen $7 million and 600,000 French francs (about HK$819,000), property of the Honorway Company. Another count of robbery alleges that Sei, together with others stole cash, personal property and jewellery worth $42,100 in Wong Nai Chung Road, Happy Valley, on October 23 last year. Fu alone is charged with failing to produce an identity card on demand on Saturday. Magistrate Richard Day adjourned the case until Thursday and remanded the two defendants in custody. No plea was taken.
