He dreams of angels (and pretty much is one). He's hopelessly devoted to searching for true romance, constantly wishing for love to love him back. And his fear of re-breaking his heart touches everyone who's listening.

Yes, Philly's Musiq has another album out. Anyone - women in particular - who's been on his neo-soul ride since his Aijuswanaseing debut in 2000, through his 2002 Juslisen release, will know how beautiful his love adventures can be. Sure, playing the L-word game is hardly an original ploy for a lady killer. So what's his big deal? Getting women into the bedroom by swooning them with his unpretentious charm and realist lyrical speak.

Check out his proposition in forthenight (with AAries), about two best friends who don't have 'the heart to fall in love all over again': 'Let's pretend for one night/I'm the man in your life/And we do the things that lovers do.'

Then head over to missyou, where he combines his take on a Stones-esque oooh-oooh-oooh melody with lyrics about mad longings for a girl. In momentinlife (with Kindred The Family Soul and Cee-Lo) his existence in a life that's so cool 'you never want that moment to end' entices you with fervent envy.

With the same musical schmaltz as Stevie Wonder, an unmistakable deep vibe that ultimately defines 'chill' and earnest lyrics that are forever trapped in idealist romanticism, Musiq is the face of modern jazz-funk-soul. And, oh, what a delightful picture that is!
