'Long Hair' Leung Kwok-hung took to the stage last night in the premiere of his show to tell his own story and the deeds of South American revolutionary Che Guevara. More than 300 theatre-goers enjoyed the two-hour show, May be Long Hair, May be Ernesto Che Guevara, at the Hong Kong Arts Centre's Shouson Theatre. Mr Leung, who recently spent four weeks in Cuba, Argentina and Bolivia gathering information about Guevara, sang the leftist anthem The Internationale and John Lennon's Power to the People during the show. Guevara is Mr Leung's idol and T-shirts emblazoned with the face of the late South American revolutionary icon are one of his trademarks. Films showing Mr Leung's trip to South America and revolutionary songs commemorating Guevara were broadcast during the show, which cost $300,000 to stage and finishes on Saturday.
