CitySeen is helping to recruit some stud muffins - 18, to be precise. That's the number of men to be auctioned off at the second annual Bid For a Bachelor charity auction at the Helena May Club in Garden Road.

If you are single, straight, and at least slightly charming then you'll fit the bill. Guys of every shape, size and colour, aged from their late 20s to 40s, are wanted, so long as they are willing to submit to a date with the highest bidder. Proceeds of the auction, to be held on Friday the 13th (just in time for a Valentine's Day date), will go towards SoulTalk (www.soultalk.org), a confidential support network for women in crisis.

Last year, the event  raised more than $100,000 from the 'sale' of  22 men, with 250 women bidders fuelling the buying frenzy.

If you're a bachelor and think you've got what it takes to satisfy Hong Kong's single women, all you need to do is submit your details by this Friday with a photo and a one-sentence description of yourself, by visiting www.bidforabachelor.com. The selection committee of six  selfless Samaritans (myself included) will sort through the applications and choose the merchandise.
