Manager of Mid-Levels project offers to co-operate with anxious neighbours
The developer of a Mid-Levels construction site yesterday said cracks in a nearby road were there before work started.
Conduit Road Development - a joint venture between Chinese Estates Holdings and New World Development - was responding to residents' suspicion the cracks found on Po Shan Road were caused by site works at 55 Conduit Road.
Site formation work for the residential block began a year ago.
The Buildings Department said cracks had been identified along Po Shan Road during regular monitoring of the construction work in late October.
The cracks were found on a 35-metre stretch of the road running along the site's southern boundary. They have been filled in.
