Two men have been arrested in connection with the killing of a mainland prostitute who was found dead in a rented flat in Shamshuipo.
Police said they were still investigating whether the two suspects could be linked with the killing of another mainland sex worker in the red-light district after fears a serial killer may have been on the loose.
Detectives from Kowloon West regional crime unit yesterday arrested a 35-year-old man in Pat Heung and a 49-year-old man in Sha Tin.
Late last night, both suspects were still being questioned at the regional crime unit in Kowloon City.
No charges had been laid against the pair.
The naked body of the woman, 37, was found by her landlord on February 12 in the Fuk Wing Street flat.
The residence had been ransacked and money was believed to be missing.
