Space is now on show and war is coming to the Hong Kong Museum of Art in Tsim Sha Tsui in the form of two art exhibitions.
'Liu Guosong - A Universe of His Own' is a collection of 60 artworks depicting space and landscape by the artist, who specialises in modern Chinese ink painting. The exhibition features drawings by Professor Liu over the past 40 years. They depict places he has visited and his idea of space.
The other exhibition, 'Vietnam Behind the Lines: Images from the War 1965 - 1975', features 122 paintings selected from The British Museum collection. The drawings and posters focus on the quieter and less-trumpeted aspects of the war, showing life in base camps, official propaganda, the role of women in combat and life on farms and in factories.
The Liu exhibition, which opened last Friday, and the Vietnam exhibition, which opens this Friday, will both run till May 2. For enquiries, call 2721 0116.
