Spooky happenings at school

This is a school story with a difference. It begins like lots of other schools stories with a new pupil arriving at a strange school and trying his best to fit in.

But Frankie Ruggles' new school is not what he expected. There is a rumour going round among the pupils that the school is haunted and bizarre incidents have been reported from the back of Room 9.

Sometimes, the cupboard at the back of the room flings its doors open and a cold wind blows into the room scattering all the books and papers into the air.

One or two of the pupils have seen the figure of a white-faced boy dressed in old-fashioned clothing wandering through the corridors.

Clearly, things are not what they should be at Frankie's new school and it won't be long before the new boy is caught up in something spooky and sinister.

Ghost Writer is an undemanding and pleasurably shivery read.
