I'm fat but happy, says truck driver with 102cm waist

Truck driver Chan Shu-ki, 46, is not worried by his 102cm waist.

'I might look fat, but I feel fine. I am very active and fit,' he said.

Asked when he last had a check-up, Mr Chan said: 'I had a full body check-up and they told me everything was fine just a few years ago.'

But the 'few years' turned out to be five years. 'I haven't changed in five years so I don't think I need to go for another check-up,' he said. 'As long as a person can eat, sleep and work, that's fine.'

Mr Chan, who works six days a week, drives for 12 hours at a time apart from a 30-minute break for lunch.

Asked if his job left him felt stressed and tired, he replied: 'As long as it's putting money in my pocket, that's stress-relief enough. You know what Hong Kong is like economically nowadays.'
