Q Should bicycles be allowed on the MTR?

Since an accident four years ago left me paralysed, I have travelled out to Tung Chung on the MTR to watch the cyclists train almost every Sunday. It is my only outing. I watch the riders flying up and down that windswept road for hours and dream of one day returning to the racing circuit.

Now the MTR Corporation wants to kill my dream.

I can't believe they can be so callous - this is an outrage and clearly the act of madmen. What have the poor cyclists ever done? Sometimes I travel with the cyclists and I find them very courteous people who always offer to help me off the train.

And not once did I see them start a fire.

While the world at large is facing famine, war and natural disaster, we in HK are trying to 'ban the bike'.

Where will it end? Will they ban the wheelchair too?
