Robbers flee after taxi driver fights back
Two robbers fled empty-handed after a woman taxi driver put up a struggle and jumped out of her cab to seek help in Kwai Chung yesterday. Police said the 47-year-old driver was grabbed around the neck from behind when her taxi reached Lim Cho Street near Cho Yiu Estate at 4am. The pair fled when the driver shouted for help.
Flasher pleads guilty to public indecency
A man who exposed himself to a woman out of 'momentary desire' pleaded guilty to one count of indecency in public. Lai For-kam, 53, who worked on a construction site, approached a woman when she was walking in Wong Chuk Hang on February 7. Magistrate Ian Candy adjourned sentencing to March 22.
Five vehicles torched in Tuen mun car park
Four goods vans and a car were torched in a car park in Tuen Mun. Fire and police officers were called to the lot when the blaze broke out in the Tsing Yeung Circuit about 3am. One goods van had its windscreen smashed and a bottle containing flammable liquid was found inside.
