Dubai's Disneyland Dubai's has announced plans for a AED18 billion (HK$38 billion) 'Dubailand' theme park, which is being billed as the Middle East's answer to Disneyland. More than 200 leisure and entertainment projects are planned, covering two billion square feet of land, and ranging from a space exploration area to a full-size dinosaur enclosure. Among the myriad projects are: the world's biggest shopping mall; several five-star hotels, including a futuristic Space Hotel and a hotel built in sand dunes; an artificial rainforest under an enormous glass dome; a complex of sports stadiums; an artificial ski slope; and the largest zoo in the Middle East.
