Army careers appeal to postgraduate students
More than 600 students from Peking and Tsinghua universities attending a recruitment fair held by the People's Liberation Army of China have expressed an interest in signing up for a life in the army, it claims. The students, most of whom are on the verge of finishing postgraduate and PhD courses, want to enlist for army positions specialising in information technology, electronics and engineering, Xinhua reports.
Commission seeks recruits to management team
The state-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission is recruiting 30 civil servants to staff a management team that will handle budget planning and corporate strategic development, reform and performance appraisal, the Beijing Youth Daily reports. Ten of the recruits must hold PhD degrees.
