The weather is getting warmer and I hate wearing stockings. I hear there is a spray-on type. Can I buy them in Hong Kong?

The Dictator rules: Who would come up with such a ridiculous idea? It would have to be someone from the land of chindogu or useless inventions. Japanese women have apparently been trading in their tights for Air Stockings by Foot Cosme ($128; Sogo, 555 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay, tel: 2833 8338). The spray comes in three colours: terracotta, bronze and natural, and the label tells us: 'This stocking is a powder type. Makes your legs very very beautiful.' It is waterproof and sweat-proof (finally we can look elegant while jogging), and removal requires soap and a little scrubbing. However, the cans, which each yield about 20 'pairs' of stockings, also state that clothing may become stained. And you've got to question how your skin breathes while wearing them. AirStocking.com claims it 'does not get stuffy because of a spray type', but we're still rubbing our chins. Why don't you just buy an eye pencil and draw a seam up the back of your leg? At least you'll be able to use it for other things when you return to wearing regular stockings.

I'm getting married soon. I agonised over the dress and didn't think about the underwear. Now I'm worried about showing a visible panty line to everyone during the ceremony!

The Dictator: Are you a Bridezilla? What upset you yesterday - the reception tablecloths? Do you really think your family and friends will sit in the church staring at your bottom? Relax. There are some good thongs and underpants to meet your needs. Jockey's No Panty Line Promise thongs are on sale at Sincere ($19; 1/F, 173 Des Voeux Road, Central, tel: 2534 0361), but like most brands they carry only flesh colour or black. Made without elastic or seams at the waist and legs, the fabric sits flush against the skin - even pudgy skin as long as you're honest about what size you wear. Maidenform's No Show line is similar. Find it at Private Shop ($89; Shop 2134, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 3126 2257). It also stocks the pretty but pricier seamless undies by Huit Lingerie ($199 to $330). Look for Triumph International (24 Wellington Street, Central, tel: 2147 2126) Body Soft line ($65 to $68) or Sloggy Soft ($50 to $80). Although the fit is not as good, they come in more colours. Choose plain rather than lacy styles, which might show through.
