Why you can trust SCMP

In this town, going to spas can be a more of a ritual than a luxury - not to be confused with going to the gym or getting regular exercise, of course.

One company is tapping into the pampering trend by creating Spa Club Asia - an umbrella organisation for ladies to enjoy the best spas in Hong Kong and the region. It claims to be the first spa and wellness membership programme in Asia. For an annual fee of $2,888 you can get $10,000 worth of complementary treatments plus other discounts and benefits. Treatments include everything under the sun: massages, facials and wraps, in all varieties.

Spas included are: Aveda Lifestyle and Day Spa, Daily Spa, Decleor Institute de Beaute, Mu Lan Spa. They also cover some spas in Bali, Singapore, Macau, Jakarta.

Besides being a network of spas, the company aims to educate women on beauty, health and wellbeing. 'Our goal is to provide access to a variety of spas and wellness tools and to educate members on diet, exercise and lifestyle choices,' says Melinda Yon, founder and managing director.
