Luxurious Parkview offers the best of all worlds

The centrally located Hong Kong Parkview, surrounded by 1,315 hectares of Tai Tam Country Park, is an oasis near the heart of the city.

If you seek the quiet of the country, Parkview's spectacular park and coastline views will appeal - but for those who prefer life in the fast lane, the list of things to do seems endless.

From the resort spa to the golf driving range to the international restaurants, there is something for everyone, including music classes and dog training sessions.

Assistant sales manager Carmen Tang says Parkview places the same emphasis on the needs of a family as it does for those of singles or couples.

'Parkview offers a flexible style of upmarket accommodation with a family orientated club and organised entertainment activities,' she says. 'No other property development in Hong Kong offers the same balance of facilities and services.'

Residents 'comprise a good mix of singles and families', with many expatriates from the United States, Britain, Australia and Southeast Asia.

With more than 500 staff for 980 apartments, personal attention is a priority, Ms Tang adds.

A major feature is Parkview's recreational and sports facilities, including a state-of-the-art gymnasium and a world-class spa.

The gym includes a women-only floor, while personal trainers and nutritionists are on hand for individual assessment.

'The number of classes and coaching sessions for adults and children is staggering - from ballet to kick-boxing, soccer to tae kwon do, swimming to art, yoga and more,' Ms Tang says.

The spa and resort has myriad features, including Roman baths with sauna, steam and whirlpool, squash, racquetball and tennis courts, a beauty salon, solarium, skateboard rink and dance studio.

Services include concierge, valet and babysitting, electronic teller banking, foreign currency exchange and same-day laundry, along with satellite and cable television, and wireless broadband internet access.

There is a ParknShop superstore and kindergarten on site, and a clubhouse with a range of options for dining and business functions, catering for everything from children's birthday parties to executive team-building programmes.

'Parkview also offers convenience - just 13 minutes by taxi from Central, 25 minutes by Airport Express to the airport and eight minutes by shuttle bus to Wan Chai, with international schools and picturesque beaches nearby,' Ms Tang says.

'There are many special touches that make the Parkview experience exceptional, including morning complimentary pastries in the lobby and fine wines and rare cigars in the world-class restaurants.

'A sommelier is on the premises for menu advice or demonstrations, while an art gallery provides food for the imagination.'

Parkview's dining and entertainment options cover seasonal gourmet and festive events in a range of restaurants and bars, from fine, casual and children's dining to an outdoor poolside barbecue buffet, in both eastern and western styles.

Whether it is a quiet drink for one or a large feast, Parkview can take care of it. A private cinema caters for film screenings for up to 10 guests, and there are banquet and conference facilities for hundreds.

The 201 luxury serviced suites range from 770 square foot studios to 2,066 sqft two-bedroom designs, each unit with a separate lounge and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The decor combines eastern and western influences, featuring rich wooden furniture, sumptuous fabrics, plush carpeting and marble bathrooms.

In addition to five-star hotel standard amenities, Parkview suites offer a complimentary welcome pack of selected groceries, and assistance is offered for a smooth relocation with services that continue until guests are happily settled in their new home.

Monthly rentals start at $30,000.

All this and much more, Ms Tang says, make the Parkview experience 'a lifestyle that's a cut above'.
