THE social illuminati who attended the wedding and two-day celebrations of Daisy Ho, third daughter of casino magnate Stanley Ho, and businessman Simon Ho, are probably still recovering from the lavish affair.
Some guests did point out that the nuptials seemed rather low key when compared with sister Pansy's wedding to Julian Hui that scaled new heights of opulence.
But the only evidence we could find to this effect was that the orchestra serenading guests from the lobby of the Grand Hyatt was only 25-piece - not the 32-piece ensemble used last time around.
The bride did make a stunning picture in her Valentino dress, the train of which seemed to run and run. In fact, as Daisy made her grand entrance down the ornate marble staircase of the hotel, her exquisite train tumbling behind, one of the guests wryly observed that she'd never seen the staircase swept so clean.
