Woman in swindling case 'felt she was raped'
A woman who says she was duped into lending about $375,000 to a man, then into having sex with him, denied claims that she was actually fond of him.
The 24-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, added that she felt as if she was 'being raped' when she had sex with Chan Yiu-tung, 23.
She made the claims in the District Court under cross-examination by defence barrister Flora Cheng Suk-yee, representing Chan and his girlfriend Cheng Tsz-ting, 21.
The alleged victim said she had sex with Chan after being promised $10,000, as part repayment of the loans to Chan, if she allowed another man to watch them have sex.
Chan had borrowed $10,000 from the woman on December 5, 2002, then asked for more money.
Despite saying she was repulsed by the experience of making love while being watched, the woman said she trusted her ex-schoolmate Chan to repay her and continued to make more loans to him.
