How many women can you fit in a Mini? 18. In a lift at the City Garden Hotel this week? Not many. That's because the 11 teams playing in the Women's Rugby Sevens are all booked into the North Point hotel. My spy in the lobby tried to count how many of the burly bruisers yesterday morning were cramming into each lift. Mostly it was 14 - but he wondered whether it was because it was a tight fit for the squads with their kit or because any more would have set alarm bells ringing at the 1,750kg limit. Oh, and the 18 females who shoehorned themselves into the Mini? Yes, they were rugby players from the British club Reading.
