The finalists, qualified from a group of 266 schools, battled in the grand final held at the Hong Kong Institute of Education.
St Paul's College and Queen Elizabeth School came second and third, respectively.
All finalists will meet again in a Mathematics Camp on May 15 for more tasks at Wu Kai Sha Youth Village. Scholars will also give talks.
Dr Wong Tak-wah from the Department of Mathematics at the HKIEd said the students surprised him.
