Prestigious suites always in demand

Pacific Place Apartments has maintained a constant high occupancy rate thanks to a strong demand from international corporations and local clients for top-end serviced accommodation in central business areas.

With a wide range of unit types, from studios to two-bedroom suites, the Swire Properties serviced apartment project caters to the needs of a variety of customers on flexible terms.

Leasing manager Jeremy Lamburn said the demand for Pacific Place Apartments remained high because of the quality and variety of the apartments, their elegant design, the service record and the location in the hub of Hong Kong.

The property is part of the Pacific Place commercial complex, above Admiralty MTR station and close to bus, tram and taxi services.

Mr Lamburn said the location offered accessibility and convenience to executives staying at Pacific Place Apartments, which comprises the Atrium and Parkside. The integrated complex also provides conveniences for shopping, working and even hosting conferences.

'Our unique duplex and penthouse suites are almost constantly leased,' he said.

The customer base is largely built up of the local offices of international corporations that see Pacific Place Apartments as a hassle-free, quality-guaranteed choice for their executives.

'We have also seen an increase in the local and mainland clientele,' he said. 'It has become the fashion to move into Pacific Place Apartments while one's home is being renovated or redecorated. With a minimum lease period of just one month, we are well able to capture this niche market.'

He said the group had no plans to increase its published rates at this stage, and would maintain a conservative discount policy to meet corporate housing budgets.

Rentals for studios at the Atrium start from $42,800 a month, with one-bedroom suites from $49,200 and two-bedroom suites from $83,200. At Parkside, rentals for one-bedroom suites start from $62,600 and two-bedroom suites from $78,600.

'We have seen an increase in demand this year, following the recovery of the economy and the local property market, and the reinstatement of many multinational projects that were postponed because of Sars,' Mr Lamburn said.

Swire Properties refurbishes Parkside on an ongoing basis. A brand-new, innovative design will be released later this summer.
