Jet Li, ZZ sized up for Kato's mask

Director Kevin 'Silent Bob' Smith isn't being so silent about his search for the next Kato, the role made famous by Bruce Lee. Smith, who is directing a Green Hornet remake, has confirmed that he is chasing Jet Li for the role of the Hornet's trusty sidekick. George Clooney had been rumoured to star as the Green Hornet but so far Smith has had no luck with him.

The twist to the tale is that a host of underground movie websites have reported that Smith is also pursuing none other than Zhang Ziyi for the role of Kato. Yes, that's right, a feisty female is being considered.
