Head to the Ruttonjee Centre, where Artemide (www.artemide.com) recently unveiled its new showroom, designed by its charismatic chief executive and lighting designer Carlotta de Bevilacqua. The 200-square-metre showroom (right) is divided into themed areas, including an exhibition space highlighting product innovations and a coffee corner decorated with Artemide lamps. At the forefront of lighting design for more than 40 years, the Italian company continues to come up with clever lighting solutions such as the portable compact desk light Sui (bottom right, $4,500) and the Melampo Parete (below, from $1,300). It is available, along with a range of Artemide and Architectural lines, in the white and bright showroom at the Ruttonjee Centre, Shop 102, 11 Duddell Street, Central, tel: 2523 0333.
