A recorded phone conversation between an irate customer and Airport Authority (AA) staff is making the rounds in cyberspace. The 16-minute track has a certain Mr Ho badgering an AA trainee - and later her boss - for everything from rudeness to amnesia.
'Ching Yi? Ching Yi? What's that?' Mr Ho shouts, mocking her pronunciation of the Cantonese word for 'trainee'.
When the trainee's boss takes over the call with a 'hello', he retorts: 'Hah-lo? Can't you even speak Cantonese?'
'I am very dissatisfied with your attitude,' Mr Ho continued. 'I asked for your colleague's title and she said 'trainee'. Trainee in what? Sweeping the floor? Doing the laundry?'
When asked what exactly his complaint was, Mr Ho shouted: 'I just told you. Do you have amnesia?' The long-suffering manager finally hangs up after Mr Ho calls her 'useless garbage'.
