Several state officials, including Director of the Religious Affairs Bureau Ye Xiaowen, are expected to accompany the relic to Hong Kong on May 26.
'We have returned to the country for [seven] years and the city has become more and more unstable,' Sik Kok Kwong said.
Free tickets to view Buddha's finger at the Convention and Exhibition Centre can be collected from the Hong Kong Buddhist Association.
