The South China Morning Post is pleased to announce the return of Winnie Chung as assistant editor to head the paper's features department.
Chung will be in charge of SCMP features as well as the Post Magazine.
David Armstrong, group editor in chief, said Chung was an experienced journalist, both as a writer and an editor. 'I'm sure she will bring a lot of experience, creativity and energy to her job,' he said.
During a 12-year spell with the paper until 2000, Chung edited the Young Post, education and entertainment sections. She has been a frequent contributor to the news and features sections since then.
Chung began her journalistic career in Malaysia, where she worked for the Malaysia Post and The Star.
She replaces Susan Sams, who resigned recently after working in senior positions at the SCMP for 11 years.
