Organisers are calling on extreme adventurers to enter Team Challenge 36 this summer in Nam Chung in the New Territories.
The 36-hour race on July 17 and 18, organised by the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association (BGCA), requires participants to take up a 70-kilometre physical and psychological challenge, which includes trail walking, diving, canoeing, orienteering, cycling, abseiling, group challenge games and a river journey.
The youth team category is open to those aged 16 to 25. Teams should be a mix of both genders with at least one of the five team members aged over 18.
Participants should have basic skills in boating, abseiling, map-reading and cycling and should be able to swim at least 50 metres.
Team Challenge 36 aims to develop young people's leadership skills, as well as enhance their decision-making and problem-solving skills. It will also be raising funds for BGCA.
Founded in 1936, BGCA offers a wide range of services for children, young people and families.
