Fish at the door

Proving that home-delivered food doesn't have to be a soggy pizza is South Stream Seafoods, which will have a booth at the American Club Bazaar today at 28 Tai Tam Road, from 10am to 5pm.

South Stream stumbled on the idea of home delivering fresh seafood during last year's Sars outbreak, when people feared leaving their houses to visit the wet market, says company director Bradley White.

The company has been a supplier of fresh seafood, mostly from New Zealand and Australia to four- and five-star hotels and restaurants since 1990.

Says White: 'Not only is it fresher, it is also cheaper - much less than buying it at high-end grocery stores.'
