FAIRY TALE WITH A TWIST

Into the Woods is a two-act musical that provides a welcome twist to the living- happily-ever-after ending of fairy tales. The performance, presented by Bloody Offal Productions and directed by Lindsey McAlister, is based on the book of the same name written by James Lapine.

The story begins with a baker and his wife who cannot have a child because of a witch's curse.

To break the spell, they must perform various tasks and, along the way, they pull in characters from other fairy tales such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel.

But in act two, the characters have to face the consequences that traditional fairy tales conveniently ignore.
