Anson Chan Fang On-sang yesterday shared a rare insight into her private life - and offered some marriage guidance - as she helped mark Mother's Day.
At the opening ceremony of the 'Fostering Harmony within Families' carnival in Victoria Park yesterday, the former chief secretary beamed as husband Archie Chan Tai-wing kissed her and said: 'Happy Mother's Day!'
She then sang The Greatest Love of All with Canto-pop singer Leo Koo Kui-kei.
Mrs Chan said: 'The four generations in our family will have dinner together to celebrate Mother's Day.' She said married couples should not argue in front of their children and grandchildren.
'Parents should make time for their children and teach them to develop their self-esteem, self-respect, self-discipline and how to love themselves.
