Mr Zhang delivered the keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the conference and exhibition, an event focusing on Hong Kong's regional role as a hub for logistics and cargo handling. The city may pay up to $800,000 for the event.
He said Beijing remained committed to strengthening Hong Kong's status as an international hub for logistics. Mr Zhang told the conference that preliminary details of the public works proposed for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge would be released in late November.
