Here's the scoop

XTConICE, the Italian ice-cream and gelato shop that started out as a tiny production outlet and takeaway counter tucked away on Bridges Street in Central, has opened its fourth outlet in two years. The newest gelateria is at 21 D'Aguilar Street (the entrance is on Wing Wah Lane), Central, tel: 2525 0575. Another branch is scheduled to open this week at the Star Ferry pier, Tsim Sha Tsui. Owner Daniel Akler says new flavours to try are cardamom-ginger and hot chocolate (chocolate with chillies). Other XTConICE outlets are at 89 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, 1 Pak Sha Street, Causeway Bay and 45 Cochrane Street, Central.
