John Size is expected to have another top day at the office at Sha Tin and one of his gallopers to follow is rising star Bumper Bumper, who should bounce back to winning form in the penultimate event following a string of sound recent performances.

Size must be relieved Bumper Bumper isn't forced to compete against Scintillation, who has beaten him on his past two runs, both over 1,400 metres. In fact, Bumper Bumper only has to hold his form to take all the beating here as he appears to have struck a relatively weak Class Two field.

The main rival is Dennis Yip Chor-hong's Dave's Best, who returns to the track following a break of almost four months.

The progressive galloper was put out to spell after his last run on February 1 but has come back this preparation working in sound fashion order. There is no doubt Dave's Best would prefer a shade further then 1,400 metres but he should find a prominent position quite easily from gate 13 and, with the likelihood of a slow-to-moderate pace, he must be given strong claims.

Derek Cruz's My Choice has enjoyed an excellent season, having risen from a rating of 47 to 82 and he looks capable of rising even higher. He was beaten fair and square by Scintillation on April 25 over the course and distance but it should be taken into account that he has four wins and another four seconds from 10 starts over this trip. He deserves another chance.

Cruz's other runner, Solid Contact, is very hard to recommend. The ageing gelding simply isn't showing enough to justify inclusion in any bets.
