Swimmer, 75, drowns at lido beach
A 75-year-old man drowned while swimming at Lido Beach, Tsuen Wan, before dawn. He was found floating five metres from the shore and pulled from the water by a fellow swimmer, a 72-year-old woman. He was certified dead at Yan Chai Hospital.
Man chopped in nightclub attack
A man was chopped in an attack after entertaining two friends for eight hours in a nightclub in Tsim Sha Tsui East. An assailant armed with a knife rushed into their private room in the third-floor of the club at 5am. The victim, 28, was treated for injuries to his arms.

A motorcycle policeman was injured when he collided with a taxi in Tin Shui Wai. The constable, 30, was treated for leg injuries following the accident at 3am at the junction of Tin Ying and Tin Wah roads.
