Statistics: Hannah qualified for the Athens Olympics when she timed  57.60 seconds - a new Hong Kong record - in the 100-metre freestyle earlier this year. Born and  raised in Hong Kong, the 15-year-old finally got the all-clear from the International Olympic Committee to compete in Athens,  although she did not have  an SAR passport.

Hannah has won medals at club and international levels and  scored the highest number of points at the recent Mantas international meet. She also won two gold medals at the inter-school swimming championships  in October last year.

Soundbite: 'Swimming is what I like to do. I don't want to be caught up in schoolwork all the time. I'm always trying to improve my personal bests so I guess I'm quite competitive. I want to make the most out of my swimming talent - I know I'll never give it up.'

INTERESTS: Hannah likes to hang out with friends in Central, and go to the movies.

From her coach: 'Hannah is a big talent,' said Mantas club coach Ben Bright.

'The Olympics will be a great experience for her. She won't be overawed - she can watch and learn. There is no pressure on her. When the Beijing Olympics comes around, she will be 19, and physically and mentally stronger.'

Academic performance: Passed all this year's internal school exams with a Grade C or higher. Will sit the GCSE next summer.

Ambition: Hannah  aims to enter  an overseas university on an athletic scholarship, and she sees herself taking part in the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
