On D12 World, Eminem and some of his hip-hop mates including Bizarre, Proof, Kon Artis, Kuniva and Swift get together for a musical party. If you want to join them, you had first better forget about political correctness before indulging in a musical feast that caters to a wide variety of tastes ranging from gangsta rap to house party sing-alongs. Of the 21 tracks, my favourite is How Come, a song that talks about how friendship and dreams fall apart as reality bites. Good Die Young is another track brimming with sentiment as it is the outfit's commemoration to young rapper Bugz, who was killed shortly before D12 signed to Shady Records. Many other tracks are humorous in both their themes and witty wordplay. Get My Gun depicts a club fight that ends with bodies 'flippin' around like a stunt double' while My Band takes a satirical look at their own success. With D12 World, D12 show us again that their talent has played as much of a role as Eminem in their leap to fame.
