After a year with his Hong Kong training career teetering on the edge, David Hill's licence for next season has been confirmed. The Jockey Club's licensing committee yesterday approved Hill's licence for 2004-05. It had not been part of the normal licensing announcements last month because, at that stage, Hill had not satisfied the performance criteria by training 13 winners. Hill then claimed his lucky 13th when Honourable won at Happy Valley last Wednesday. The trainer was advised that any future failure to meet the 13-win minimum could again put his licence in jeopardy.
