Show features best of security, lighting and building technologies
Practitioners from across a range of industries will be drawn to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from today until Friday as the city hosts a three-in-one event that brings together the best of security, lighting and building technologies.
The event will combine Asian Elenex 2004 - the 11th Annual International Electrical Installation, Transmission & Distribution and Lighting Technology Show, with Asian Building Technologies 2004 - the 6th International Showcase for Building Automation and Management Systems Featuring Asian Facilities Management and HVAC & R Show, and Asian Securitex 2004 - the 8th Asian International Security, Safety and Fire Protection Show & Conference.
The combination of exhibitors, seminars, high-profile speakers and demonstrations is expected to attract professionals from the fields of architecture, security contracting, consultation and engineering, property development and management, facility management, and interior design.
Mark Brisson, director of sales and marketing for Chubb Asia, is on the speaker selection board for Asian Securitex and said it had put together a panel of individuals that would strike a balance between the educational and commercial side of the industry.
'We were trying to put together individuals who would add value to the security industry,' Mr Brisson said. 'We wanted a balance of people and not those that just wanted to come and sell their products.'
