Yoon Hyung-kwon and Kim Soon-ki from The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Seoul will be guest chefs at The Cafe in The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Central from June 21-30. Their menu of authentic Korean dishes includes bibimbab (stone-pot rice with vegetables), galbi (grilled beef short ribs), spicy crab stew, spicy beef soup with vegetables, and sweet pumpkin porridge. Also at the hotel is the Turriga wine dinner at Toscana on June 30. The five-course dinner includes red wine and radicchio risotto with melted foie gras, paired with the Korem 2001, and a main course of braised veal shank with lemon and rosemary, paired with the 1995, 1997 and 1998 vintages of Turriga. The dinner is $888 plus 10 per cent.

The German Wine Society is holding a dinner on June 25 at One Bar + Grill in Exchange Square. Felix Buerklein from Kunstler winery and Janke Zeltwanger, who represents the four other wineries being featured at the dinner, will host the evening. The five-course dinner includes a main course of grilled Black Angus beef tenderloin with foie gras, sweetbread and wild mushroom crepe, which is paired with the Mont du Toit 2001 from South Africa and Campo Ardosa 2000 from Portugal, which are both made by German winemakers. Nick Tullet, regional manager for Beringer Blass Wine Estate, will host a Wolf Blass wine dinner on June 26 at Bostonian restaurant in the Langham Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The four-course dinner includes a main course of pan-seared veal tenderloin with morel mushroom cream and sweet yam pancake, served with the winery's Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1999.
