Guests at the grand opening of Brazilian boutique F expecting the stereotypical bright feathers and loud music breathed a sigh of relief when they turned up at Zenses in Central. In place of a carnival they found a sophisticated party with beautiful people in their requisite beautiful clothes and guest of honour Armando Sergio Frazao, consul-general of Brazil. 'The typical Hong Kong idea of Brazil is feathers, fruits and soccer. We wanted to give a new feel, one that is more in line with Brazilian fashion with its sexy, clubby designs,' said Leo Fan Chu-yu, one of the owners of F. Among the belles of the ball were guest model Candice Yu, former Miss Hong Kongs Sheila Chin Suk-lan and Natalie Ng Man-yan, designer Ranee K and singer Joyce Lee Lok-si. The fashion show certainly showed what Brazilian fashion was all about - mermaid bikinis complete with fish scales, and a sexy summer leather collection. Many of the lovely ladies were seen ticking off items of clothing to order in their little black books. Also at the party were Edwin Ing, executive director of the Dickson Group, Denise Lau, Susan Sng Kwang-hau, director of Xposure PR, with daughter Denise Lai Yun-wen, director of Chrome Hearts Louis Tan, and socialites Denise Lau, Winnie Fung, Siberian Fur scion Jennifer Fong, Sophia Kao Lo and philanthropist Helen Fong.
