Public signs, advertisements and billboards are everywhere. Spanish-born photographer Jose Manuel Sevilla is a Hong Kong resident fascinated by these street languages.

His photos capture some funny and unusual signs spotted in Mexico, the US and around Asia.

The exhibition at the Fringe Club's Fringe Gallery runs until July 12. Admission is free. For more information, call 2521 7251.

BRAZILIAN FILM WEEK

Jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Consulate General of Brazil, the Brazilian Film Week showcases some of Brazil's rising new filmmakers through seven films in 14 screenings from today through Sunday.

Kicking off the film week today at 7.15pm in the Theatre of Hong Kong City Hall is The Man Who Copied. Directed by Jorge Furtado, the film is a mix of comedy, romance and tragedy. It is about the 20-year-old Andre, a photocopier operator in a bookshop who comes up with a secret plan to make money.
